Maintaining paints and resin floors: best practices

4 min read

Short answer: clean with mild products suited to the finish, avoid abrasives and harsh solvents, deal quickly with stains and chips, and inspect exposed areas regularly to plan touch-ups.

Painted walls

  • Satin finishes: sponge with mild soapy water.
  • Matt finishes: dusting, gentle spot cleaning.
  • Avoid abrasive sponges that polish the paint.

Decorative effects

Follow the recommendations for the product and its protection (varnish, wax). Some protections need periodic renewal.

Resin floors

  • Regular sweeping or vacuuming to remove abrasive particles.
  • Washing with a resin-compatible detergent.
  • Wipe spills promptly.
  • Pads under furniture legs and protection under point loads.

Touch-ups

Keep a small amount of the project paint, with its reference, for future touch-ups.
